Crews have begun work on the extension of Twenty-third Street through the Elkhorn View Industrial Park in Baker City.  A scraper has started the preliminary job of removing top soil; paving is scheduled to begin later this summer.  When complete, the road will permit ingress and egress at both Seventeenth Street and Pocahontas Road.  Earlier this spring, city crews finished the installation of a wastewater mainline through the park.
